The story takes place on a subway platform in Paris, where a poster covers a large billboard with a series of images depicting a car parked on a Parisian street suddenly catching fire, engulfed in smoke, and leaving only the skeleton of the front car. Using a laborious traditional system to install the details of each image, this movie event gradually unfolds in a 72 minute film, slowly contemplating political violence, in contrast to the fast-paced images we typically experience in news media. Despite its slow, almost meditative rhythm, Baudelaire created an unforgettable and provocative work that fully absorbed the audience.
